Another thing to look at, are samplers/compilation albums aimed at kids. Look them up at online music stores, look at the tracklist, prelisten and decide which sound like you’d want them in your set.

One thing though. You might find that most of the music needed is not in your regular collection. And even at 1 dollar per track (better to get the actual compilation album for 9 bucks for 22 tracks), this kinda adds up if you have to play a 3 hour gig (needs about 120 tracks) and you need to buy half of them just for this gig. Make sure you have this covered in your fee as most of the tracks won’t be used again unless you have another kids party. So you are essentially buying them for one-time use. Best to make sure the customer pays for it.

Something like this (only spent 12 seconds on google/amazon) perhaps?:

Also – if it is a young age range, and especially if it is a faith school, then make sure none of your tracks have any expletives in.. I can’t see parents being impressed!

The NOW series of CDs is good for this (in the UK at least) as they always have the edited versions..

Thanks! Digital DJ Tips tells me there will be an “Over To You” regarding this tomorrow.
