Do your monitors take one TRS jack per speaker or one for both? (Which model are they – this might help us help you đŸ™‚ )

If it is one per speaker, then they are not using a stereo signal, they are using a balanced signal (or at least they can) so this will plug into the RCA jacks fine, with one going to each speaker.

If it is one for both, then you will want a RCA – TRS Stereo adaptor (also available on the internet) to plug in with. Such things do exist and will do the job.

Get a little box like this:

At the input end run your RCA outputs from your controller into the RCA inputs on the box.

Also order two balanced XLR-TRS cables. Make sure the XLR side is FEMALE!

Run the XLR Connector from the box’s XLR balanced outputs to the balanced TRS inputs of your speakers.

    Done.

Take my advice, while you could hook this up with various cables and/or adapters, I would seriously suggest against that. Spend a few bucks on the box and cables and you’ll have the best result.

For the interested: RCA is not a stereo connector. You will always (almost) see TWO RCA connectors, one carrying the left (white) and right (red) signal half of a stereo signal. XLR is also always (almost) mono.
You CAN get TRS connectors (both 1/4″ and 3.5mm) that ARE stereo, but this is either for connecting line signals to, say, a car radio (the lead that goes from the small trs jack that you plug into your smartphones headphone connector to the same small trs jack on the front of your car stereo) and on headphones. For connecting speakers, microphones and other stuff, the large TRS jacks will always be balanced mono.

Hi, bob6397! My monitors are Yamaha HS8. Thanks for the help!

DJ Vintage, thanks for the help. I had never heard about Clean Box Pro before your post. Is it like a Direct Box? Really clever!

DJ Vintage, unfortunately the money necessary to ship it to Brazil ($90) is higher than the money to buy it ($65). It seems to me that $155 is a little too much. Do you know any cheaper solutions? I really appreciate your help.

That is (way too) steep, I agree.

Well, if you take a regular (but good!) RCA cable of the kind you can split down the middle, so you end up with two single RCA to RCA cables, and buy something like the below adapter to stick on the RCA at the speaker end, you can put the 1/4″ jack into the speaker.

Keep the cable as short as possible, it’s not balanced and susceptible to noise and other unwanted sounds (humm for example). Also regular line level signals (of the home stereo/RCA kind) are a lot lower than the balanced jack/XLR outputs. So if you stick a lower level (RCA) output signal into a balanced (Jack/XLR) input on a speaker, you may have to run them a bit “hotter” than you normally would. Be careful not to run the master level too high because of possible distortion.
