Nope, in Traktor I believe you can use several mappings for different controllers simultaneously. Dig into the manual or youtube instructions on the subject I would say.

Yeah, I can confirm that you can use multiple controllers that are completely unlike each other with Traktor at the same time.

I’ve had all sorts linked up to Traktor, including CDJ’s, my current S8, an X1 MK2 and a reloop contour. Currently just the S8 and the CDJ’s hooked up (as DVS) and all working swimmingly!

A lot of the “standard” mappings are loaded into Traktor and it will automatically detect them and assign them, or you can hunt the forums for .TSI files with your preferred mappings. Just make sure you use the bigger “IMPORT” button when you load the first one and the smaller “import” button for the second one otherwise you will overwrite all the settings you have just imported. All you will need to do then is tell Traktor which controller is using which mapping.

Yeah, at this point, while Traktor is no longer my primary software, I have it mapped for a Terminal Mix 8, DJ Control Instinct (Though I don’t NEED it at the same time as the TM8, it is a much more convenient controller when I need to take up little space), a Novation Launchpad Mk2 and an Akai APC25key. I have more control points than I need, but the set-up is more intended for my customer software.
