    Guilty as charged. I love doing it and love when I recognize an old tune in a new one.

    Plus it just screams to me which tunes were creatively produced versus which ones seem “phoned in”.

    Forgot to mention that I also end up singing or humming the lyrics to the original tune instead of the new one. Naughty, naughty!

    heh. You can do that with tracks that weren’t sampled too… so many songs follow the same chord progressions and general structure that it’s crazy easy to apply your favorite lyrics to an entirely different song. heh.

    Sampling can be subtle sometimes, I love it 🙂
