How big a pitch are you trying to do?

Around +/- 8 seems to be about as far as I can go before I lose quality. Worth mentioning that I’m a complete noobbie to Rekordbox, have been a Traktor user for years, never had a problem like this with Traktor.

Yeah, I wouldn’t have noticed as I usually stay well within the +- 5% range and usually keep it to +- 2-3%.

Unfortunately I can’t check to see if I have the same problems. Hope one of our other readers can check his/her setup and tell you what they come up with.

There is a tool in Windows (not sure for Mac but presumably there is something there as well) called Performance Monitor (perfmon.exe) that lets you record things like CPU and Memory load over a period of time.
You could run that in the background and then create the unwanted behavior in RB. You can now look at the data in Performance Monitor to see if the moments RB gets into trouble coincides with max CPU and/or Memory load.

Hellboy, while I moved this post from DJ Booth to DJ Software forum (where it belongs) I noticed that the same post was there as well.

Please follow the forum guidelines, which (amongst other things) don’t allow posting identical messages in other forums.
I have removed the other post.

Apologies, I posted in the section of the forum and couldn’t delete it.

Regarding CPU/Memory overload, it’s not that, I’ve already looked into that but thanks for the suggestion.

Just tried out my DDJ-RX controller on the new Virtual DJ, I have to say that I’m astonished with the fact that my current issues with Rekordbox do not occur with Virtual DJ. Bit of a joke really when you consider the amount of money I spent on this controller and it’s flagship software Rekordbox. Not impressed!

It’s definitely an issue within the Rekordbox software and not the controller, just been onto Pioneer about it and waiting on a call back from them. Hopefully it can be sorted out quickly and addressed fully.

Keep us posted! Did you read the article/review on the blog by Steve? He didn’t seem to have the same problems.

Will do. I did read/watch the review, in the video review he did mention the pitch control sounded strange on it and wasn’t sure if he would use it.

Ah, I’d only read the article. Didn’t watch the vid yet and it’s been long hard days, so not on my brightest LOL
