Reminds me of an app Krafty Kuts made a while back.

Definitely has merit though. I’ll check it out.

Hmm, not really getting why this is needed when your software has a sampler. (And in the video they use VDJ which has a sampler.) And this samplers are much more powerful anyways. In addition you can use the effects, quantize and other features from your DJ-Software (At least in Traktor, Virtual Dj, Mixvibes Cross, and even the new Rekordbox DJ, Serato I don’t know that well).

Getting sounds is easy as well, just visit https://www.freesound.org/browse/tags/sound-effects/ and you find any sound you can possibly think of.

Ofcourse you have built in sampler in your DJ software. But this appp is usefull when your computer resources are limited, or you want to use external hardware effect processor for those samples, or you are using analog mixer, or you are using ordinary software music player (not DJ) and don’nt want DJ soft affect your sound etc. In this case you don’t need expensive hadware device – just use your smartphone/tablet via separate mixer channel.

Is it me or does this seem like an “intentionally placed advertisement” for an Android App?

It’s absolutely free and there is no advertisments and commercial interest

Hi Wyld, we did discuss this and as it’s relevant for the community, there is no apparent cost and commercial interest and the poster is using is (DJ) name and not a company name, we decided to leave it on.

Clearly if it turns out to be anything else than it seems to be at this time, we will reconsider and remove the post.
