    Here’s my first for this week…

    Title: Been A Long Time
    Artist: The Fog
    Label: Columbia

    Genre(s): House
    Year Released: 1993

    This was one of those anthems that signaled the big change from the years of rave and hardcore dominating the clubs into a new era of house. For me it was just in how smooth this tune plays, and that “rolling beat” that carried me. Most DJs were more into the Rio’s Pride Mix, which featured the new (at the time) dabbling into Brazilian rhythms and the Strictly Rhythm style synths many copied…but the original was always my favorite.
