    Here’s one that caught my ears today:

    Title: Second Story
    Artist: Mark Knight
    Label: Suara

    For those who might have heard Johnick’s Play the World, or The Player by First Choice, that rift will sound very familiar. However, I have a soft spot for those tunes, and Mark Knight’s uptempo idea on it made me groove to this tune enough that I had to pick it up.

    As requested, a hip hop track from my favourite era. I started out DJing with hip hop like this… even though these days I play deep/tech/techno .. I miss great hip hop like this.

    The opening line is legendary, “Yo microphone check 1,2 what is this, the 5 foot assassin with the roughneck business…” and I’ll always love this bassline.
