Which version of Virtual Dj are you using? (7 or 8)?

    Hi Bob6397,
Thanks for your interest in my frustration on this issue with monitering tracks prior to play, and version 8 is what I am using after having v7 for a bit..so the change over has not helped but liking the new version. I didn’t set it up this way with v7 and so this is my first attempt. The whole configuration settings menu has changed from the last one. In breif I slected laptops master output chan1&2. Deck1-Behringer interface output chan1&2. Deck2-Behringer interface output chan3&4. Headphones-Behringer interface output chan1&2.
I’ll be very grateful for any assistance.
    Cheers.

So you are trying to get your master output through one interface and your headphone output through the other?

What you want to do is have 2 rows in the table. One for the master out and one for your headphone out.

Let’s say (for arguments sake – it makes no difference) that you want the UFO202 to be your Headphone output and the UCA222 to be your Master output.

The first row should be as follows:

    master, Behringer UCA222, Channels 1&2

    The second should be:

    headphone, Behringer UFO202, Channels 1&2

Click Apply. It should now work 🙂

The PFL buttons send the audio to the headphone out so that you can hear the output of the channel without sending it through the main speakers.

    Hope that works 🙂

Hi Bob, thanks for that info and my goal is to use only one of the 2 Behringer interfaces and understand that the laptops own built in soundcard is supposed to be the main output, with the other devices channelled through the USB interface mentioned. I’ll give your method a try and see how it goes Mr. It can’t be so difficult and is all a learning curve for me.
    Thanks again.
    James.

Hi Bob, I tried your way with both interfaces plugged in and only one was needed to give me the source required, it also highlighted that one of 4 USB sockets on the laptop wasn’t recognizing the device and that created all this hassle. So many thanks for your input and your knowledge helped, I hope I can return any advice that may help yourself at a later date.
    Cheers. J.
