I honestly don’t think there should be any problem, as I went to an event last month were Phonique was absolutely rocking the house and he played “Sparta – Ten Walls”.

It’s a bit of a weird one in my opinion, I’m a big fan of his productions as both Ten Walls and Mario Basanov and I’m not going to suddenly stop playing them because of the controversy as while he may be a total arse he is still damn talented, but I’m basically a small party and bedroom DJ. I think if you were playing to a medium to large crowd it may not be worth the risk, all it would take is a few in-the-know people to start a chain reaction from the rest of the crowd which could end up damaging your set.

I think its how do you see the set you’re playing, is the gig a regular bar/club crowd pleasing whatever gig with popular tunes, or a little deeper, more an expression of yourself through your music selection etc. For me im normally the latter or try to head down that way. So on a moral basis, i would not however, I dont actually own any of his tunes its not my scene!

I’m in with Dom, if the set is an expression of myself, playing a Ten Walls track will have a negative at least for myself.

A friend of mine with a more professional attitude says “I don’t like him, but I love what his music does” (to the crowd).
