Typical Hercules as they have bad support, bad quality control and mostly not so good controllers… sorry to say it so direct but that is the way it is. They are toys for home use but not in any way DJ controllers I would buy for anything more than bedroom usage.
Looking at the price of this one, you can get good and meant for live play controllers for 100 bucks less.

Around that price point: reloop Beatmix 4, Denon MC 4000, Pioneer DDJ-SR, Numark NV, used DDJ-SX, reloop Terminal Mix 8.
    Mixtrack 3 with a reloop Neon, …..

Altough I see your point these aren’t in the same price range here in Belgium except for reloop beatmix 4.
I bought the jovision in pre-order at €280. The one you sum up are around €550.
If i had that kind of money I would definetely buy one of those.
    Thanks!

I’ve been playing on Hercules maybe 4 years now. It should be ok as long as you don’t wait for stars and the moon. There’s lots of controllers in that price range with also lots of differences. Best things in Hercules are (imho) sound card and focus on low price. There’s other controllers with more knobs and sliders, without that weird jog screen, with other software combined etc. I’ve found Hercules controllers easily compatible with Traktor and Mixxx, which is nice. It sucks when you can’t use the software you want with any hardware. (I’m against picking only one software/controller since I like to try other softwares every now and then and it’s just made up limitation with serato and such. All the program-controller combinations give out normal midi)

The controller will be mostly used for bedroom djing and small gigs. So I think it will be fine.
When I play at bigger parties is use the equipment there wich is almost always the cdj 2000.
I now have a dj control instinct wich has indeed pretty decent sound. Either way when i use a controller at smaller parties I usaly hook it up on the mixer.

The Reloop Beatmix 4 in Europe can be bought easily for 280 Euros.
The Denon MC 2000 for 250.
The Mixtrack Pro 3 for around 260.
The new Pioneer DDJ-SB2 for 299.
The others are more expensive options.

@Anseric: check out Bax-Shop. They deliver in Belgium and have the lowest prices in (our part of) Europe.
