1st: Rent your speakers. Usually you get top of the line equipment for a fair price from many companies.

As for playlists: Invest in our wedding DJ course. There are so many golden tips for what to play… it works perfectly. I have DJed over 100 weddings and since I am using that tips I get bookings all over and can actually turn people down…

Also if your set is 3 hours, expect to play at least 4 (weddings have that tendency) and make sure:
    – in your contract it says what additional hours cost
    – you have enough tracks prepared

For a normal gig I prepare double the tracks I would need, for a wedding I prepare at least 3 times the tracks I would need plus a “plan B”.
