I have the same Mac except I’m on Snow Leopard.
I only have 1 K2 but from what I remember when reading the manual you can connect 1 K2 to the other with a network cable that came in the box with it. Have them both on different channels. It should also only be able to use one of the soundcard in 1 of them, the other should be disabled. Remember to connect the K2s first and then start Traktor too.

That’s the best advice I can give, as I have never tried this setup and have only 1 K2.

    Good luck!

Thank you for your help but I watched this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IgU-eesd6hI and it shows that I could connect the k2s without x:link cable using the soundcard of each controller. I try also to connect them via x:link using an external soundcard but nothing changed.

I also have dual K2 setup and Mac, which works fine.

Don’t worry about the way OS X labels the audio interface outputs as “Front left” etc. That’s the standard way OS X labels things with every audio interface, it’s perfectly normal.

If you are using the audio interfaces in your K2s and combine them together via aggregate device, they both need to be connected via USB. As the manual states, X-link only relays only MIDI-data.

Is there any reason you need to have 2 audio interfaces? I’m curious as to what you are trying t do.
I’m guessing you are connecting into 4 channels on the main house mixer, though I can’t imagine what you are doing with that setup 🙂

I’ve considered getting another K1 and using X-Link.. it seems more efficient and frees up a USB slot, but I like to mix internally and use 1 layer on the K2 as volume/EQ/loops controls etc.

If stems can be used with K2 I may consider upgrading my OS so I can update my Traktor to the latest 🙂

    Hi guys,

    … @GiovanniBarbaro… not so far from your Setup (Xone:DB4 – 2x Cdj-2000NX – 2x A&H K2 – Mac Pro Late 13 – Yosemite 10.10.5 – Traktor Pro Scratch 2 ver:2.8.1)
Less is more, i always try to keep it simple …
My two K2 are X-Linked each others (RJ-45) and to the DB4, they don’t need to be aggregated, (as my two Cdj’s they don’t need either). All of them are also going out via USB (HUB 2.0) to my Mac. I’m used to separate the one coming out the DB4 (which contain my soundcard) and plug in directly to my Mac, avoiding all risks of conflicts. (So I will use two slots on my Mac …) One for DB4, one for my HUB (2 K2, 2 CDJ)
For Traktor, to get your K2 functional as you mapped it, you’ll have to disable the X-Link Pairing in your Xone Configuration Menu (on the mixer), and have two different channels
    … hope it helps, …
For Stems, the use of a K2 is,in my opinion, without any screen, even with a Led-Out Mapping, a second-choice solution … anyway have to wait a bit more to see if it’s the massive success anounced …

I meant if we can eventually see stems displays in Traktor on the laptop screen…maybe I should try it o my Windows setup (where I can put the latest version of Traktor) as perhaps the separate stems displays may not be as missed as I currently think – after all, know your music.
I really don’t want extra screens. I’m happy using a K2 and plugging in CDJs via USB 🙂
