    If you are using Traktor, then I would only recommend using Traktor (Native Instruments) controllers with it – they have the best in-built support and it is seeming likely that when the new version of Traktor comes out, it probably won’t support non-NI controllers at all.

    Therefore I would recommend you get the S2 for now – similar to it’s big brother the S4 but smaller (although you need to look down the spec list and see what features you want on your next controller – this is what will effectively choose your controller for you.

    Hi Charlie,

    It would help a lot if you tell us what it is you feel the current setup and the S2/Mixtrack 3 can’t do for you.

    The S2 in it’s essence is a rather basic controller too of course, so if you need very specific things that you seem to have already figured out the S2 doesn’t offer might indeed lead to stuff like the modular units.

    Hard for us to tell though if we don’t know what it is you feel is missing and/or what it is your are trying to achieve.

    Agree 2 Dj Vintage! What functions of Traktor do U want to control? The Mixtrack pro is a pretty good controller. And I dont think a S2 or a Mixtrack 3 would be an upgrade to U.
    It depends on what U think U want to use most and more effective … : 4-Deck control, EFX-params, Remix-Decks …..
