Thanks for that! Important enough to write about on the main site, it’s been done today.

    I upgraded iPod/Phone to iOS8.4 and iTunes on Windows7 PC to iTunes12.2

No real issues so far. I think it’s because I don’t use iTunesMatch and I didn’t join AppleMusic.

That means the Radio thing doesn’t work: No featured stations,… except beat1, the live radio station.

As DJ-Software I use Traktor Pro2: also no problems detected by now.

Actually i love the new features and possibilities of the upgraded iPhone/iTunesApp which is called Music.
    – Playlists on the fly
    – in addition to the Star-rating there is now the Heart-rating and you can put all the hearts in a smart-playlist.
    – shuffle songs in the playlist (even while playing from the list) very easy.
    – create playlist while playing.
    – etc.

So just DON’T Join AppleMusic and DON’T Subscribe to iTunes Match by now.

    This is my personal experience.
Actually I would love to use a sort of AppleSpotify and they would sell a lot of music to me.
Imagine Spotify with a buy-now button!

    Hi DJKonski,

Thanks for your contribution, good to hear some people are having positive experience with the new iTunes/Music.

Tip: tone down on the bold print, especially paired with ALL CAPS. It’s a bit of overkill.

Thanks for the tipp, DJ Konski. I just updatet my iTunes on my working-Mac and had no issues so far, but I don’t DJ with it.

Seems to be a good example for “never change a running system” :D.

Are there any good alternatives for iTunes on the Mac? (large libarys should work (>140k Tracks))

Well since 140K+ tracks is WAYYYYY too much for a working DJ collection, none of the mentioned problems should hurt you too bad for that.

    I upgraded. Absolutely zero problems.
But I did not subscribe to Apple Music either.
