The best way for me to share Mixes is on http://www.mixcloud.com, other music share website are limited to royalties and a bunch of stuff.

cool. Yeah I was considering mixcloud. I’m just starting so my main focus right now is getting beatmatching right and started to use some filters to smooth the transitions. Is it Ok to upload amateur mixes over there? I guess the only way to get better is having more experienced people listen to your work and get feedback from them.

What Gear are you using right now?

    1. Software
    2. Controler or CDJ’s
    3. Type of music?

I’ll be glad to help you in everyway I can.

“La practica hace al Maestro” (Practice makes the Master (Teacher)

So practice, you should watch the 4 videos Phill Uploaded this week, it is a great way to make things right. Have your Phrasing and Bar Count right, Know your music, whatever genre it is, smooth transitions is the best way to the people and to their ears, learn the Keymatch technic.

And if you have stuff on mixcloud (or somewhere else), be sure to post a link in the Mixes, Music & Shows forum here for maximum exposure.

    thnx Vintage!
Yup, been following you guys on youtube for a couple of months now.

Currently using Traktor Pro 2 on a Kontrol S2 mk2

Music? A bit of everything. Mostly progressive, electro and tech house, dubstep and starting to apreciate new genres like trap and moombahton amongst others.
Also love breakbeats, new and old funk and old school hiphop.

And most of all, I LOVE discovering new music.

    Great gear !!!

I also use Traktor Pro 2 for about 3 years, now with Kontrol S4 MK2, 2 units of Kontrol F1 purely for remix decks and preset effects, 1 Machine MKI to produce my own loops is the key to my mixing.

I mix Deep House, EDM, Comical POP english and spanish, been all over the clubs here, Kaluah, Q Bar, Mikao, Plus Original, Plus the shops, The Manor, Prime, you name it.

let’s get together whenever you can and share ideas.

    Hi Erick,

Feel free to post whatever you like by way of mixes. You are right in that you only get better if you practice a lot. Good feedback to your practice and try-outs will help improve yourself much quicker.

here is my mix cloud page https://www.mixcloud.com/LPLIANG/

there’s a few mixes I’ve done, a bit old, but I ill be uploading more soon, haven’t had the time with all the things I’ve done.

by the way, now I only DJ weddings, b-Days, Graduations, etc…… my club days are over jajajajaja, plus this kind of gigs pays “A LOT” more than Djing in Clubs, it great exposure and is awesome to interact with all kind of people, know what music trend is now dominating the dance floors, but as having fun, few drinks and having a blast with your friends at a table reserved for your group, it is very demanding and is exhausting if you do it as a Hobbie or second Job. try to wake up at 7:00 am to be in the office on time on a friday after going to bed at 6:00 am after a thursday night gig at Plus…..not a god idea, maybe the first month, but after a while, you can’t do either things right.

What is your main interest in becoming a DJ? you hanna play in clubs? you wanna play in private parties, weddings? whats tour goal?

DJ Vintage: how can you place your pic on your profile, been clicking on the image spot on my profile and does nothing….jajajaja

Honestly, I’ve been a fan of EDM (and music un general) since I can remember and way before electronic music became more mainstream over here as it is today, I’ve always been drawn to the energy a DJ can transmit to whole crowds of people. So I’ve always been interested but never considered it. Last year I ound out there is the BPM academy but was late to enroll, so this year I thought “what the hell” and finally started.

So I’m no musician and not an experto but would really like to see how far I can take it. And yes, having a full time job makes it a bit harder to consider it as a way of living but I want to see how much talent I can develope for this.
On the oher hand I love learnin new things so this is a thrill.

Ans btw, great mixes man, gonna listen to them over the weekend if you dont mind.
