I don’t think you can record a MIX on a single unit, best to hope for is having linked players and recordbox recording your playlist (not the actual music, but just the tracks you played and in which order).

Perhaps someone that has a pair of these can shed some more light on the issue.

Sorry just to clarify I have a DJM-800 Pioneer mixer and x2 XDJ-1000 decks. I used to have x 2 cdj mk-3 and recorded mixes through serato dj.

Now don’t know how to record on the usbs.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I reckon your best bet would be to use something like this (DJ Tech DJ Rec – half way down this page http://www.digitaldjtips.com/2015/04/musikmesse-2015-best-rest/)

As that will simply record the whole mix from the output of your mixer.. I can’t see another way to do it..

Yeah, the Reloop Tape also allows you to record the stereo master out from your mixer. But nothing that will allow you to record the mix/output to the USB on the 1000s. The XDJ-RX does have an option to record to USB if I am not mistaken.

Hey thanks guys for pointing me in the right direction, I really appreciate it.

I ended up ringing my local DJ store and then went in and they showed me a few different options and I went with a Tascam DR-40 recorder which allows me to record my mixes at home and live at a gig as well.

I’ve already figured out how to work the basic functions and it works brilliantly and is nice and small so I’m really pleased.

Again, thank you very much, you guys rock! :0)
