    Well if you want to go the Traktor route the S2 or S4 are really the only way to go. All other controllers suffer from compatibility issues with Traktor even more.
    So currently we recommend if you want to use Traktor then use a Traktor Kontrol.

    Been using the S2 mk2 for a few months and I have no problems to report, even on an Intel i3 processor, running key lock, sync and both remix decks. I’m using it with my iPad most of the time, since the app starts up so fast.

    Sorry to jump it but….What is the sound quality like when using an iPad?

    Any referring to your question, I have had problems with the traktor software not any hardware. 2.6.8 is what I am still using, even though it has bugs, some songs not showing up when searching, I have found it the most stable. All of 2.7 was terrible and 2.8.0 I use once and my laptop seems to be running high on CPUs.

    back to the original question, u first have to decide what ur preferred software is gonna be. if u want to work with traktor, go for the kontrol s2 or the s4 (if it’s in ur budget)

    or else if u wanna use serato, go for a mixtrack pro 3 which retails at the same price point as the s2 mk2. other options could be the reloop beatmix 4, epsilon quad mix, or the pioneer wego-3.

    I started using Traktor Scratch Pro version 12 (something) with a pair of turntables many years ago and that was fun. I have never really had a controller before so I am not sure I am going to enjoy the experience, although I did have a Kontrol X1 but it was very limited to say the least. Things have moved on now and the choice is out there and the S2 MK2 seems like a decent choice at reasonable money. Worse case senerio is if I don’t like it I move it on at get some CDJs and forget about the whole laptop thing.

    Hi, yes I was about to purchase a Traktor Kontrol s2 MK2 as I really like traktor software from what ive seen of it. However I stumbled across many forums on NI that suggest there are many bugs with traktor and the controllers. Can anyone say if this has been definitely fixed or not? or at least suggest that it is uncommon. THanks
