    u connect a mp3 device or ur mobile to the 2nd channel….. that way u got a backup ready to go in case of a laptop crash.

    I am not sure what you want out of your DJM 400 that your controller/software combo doesn’t provide?

    And not using the mixer in the controller but doing that on an external analogue mixer makes no sense whatsoever. The only purpose that does make sense is to use it as Spars said, with an iPod or MP3 player hooked up for backup.
