    Try to get a deal on reloop RHP-20 (they are 120 bucks usually). They are easily in the range that costs normally 200+.

    I would not recommend the Pioneer, they are not good in my experience and to my ears.
    The TMA-1 are OK, but they have a mid layer “sound hole” and are therefore very bass heavy. If you are OK with that, they are solid.

    Else under 100 bucks the Zomo HD-1200 are OK.

    But from what I have heard and read, the rhp 20s aren’t comfortable for long listening sessions and they also leak audio

    Being comfortable is a very personal thing when it comes to headphones – the only aspects about a set of headphones that I would take a from a forum would be about the sound they produce and if they are worth the price tag attached…

    Fit, earcup-size etc. are all so personal that you really need to go out and try them on to find out if they are for you…

    The RHP-20s are one of the most comfortable headphones out there and the sound quality is stunning. Unless you have very large ears that do not fit the earcups of course.
    And I do not know what you mean by leaking audio.
    If you mean music you play can be heard outside the headphones, then yes any open back will let a little sound through (RHP-20, Pioneer 500 and 1000, HD25s, TMA-1s,…), but it will always be very little and not matter at all in a DJ environment even at low wedding volumes it will not be heard by anyone.

    @bob : all headphones mentioned in that forum are way above my budget xD

    Stretch your budget and grab a pair of Pioneer HDJ 1500 headphones. The important thing about them is that they have a very low impedance rating so they are easily powered by iOS devices. If that doesn’t work, grab anything from Koss because they have a lifetime warrantee.

    Honestly most good headphones have a low impedance rating, even the 20 dollar Sennheiser HD-201 has one and works perfectly fine with iOS devices. No need to buy an overpriced Pioneer headphone as the HD 1500 is sound wise in the league of the 70 dollar range and not where its price sits.
    Also while Koss has a good warranty their sound profile may be cool for some music styles, but it does a lot of sound coloring, which I find not too good if you DJ multiple genres and some may not fit the sound profile. So I like a flat response headphone or just slightly bass heavy.

    I should have said lowest. I picked the Pioneers even though I don’t like hype (and prefer to dj with my Koss PRO4AA’s) because they had the lowest impedance of any dj can I could find. I literally researched headphone impedance ratings for 4 weeks before picking them. They sound good too.

    actually…. i’m more of an on-ear guy and am a stickler for the minimalistic design of the sennheiser hd 25s and wanted something along the same lines (a set of cans without chunky earcups and stuff…..)

    what about the urbanears zinken?

    and if it makes any difference, it’s the beatport edition of the TMA-1s

    Save up a little longer (buy a pair of HD201s for 20 bucks in the meantime – can always keep them later as spares) and look for deals on the HD25s. I promise those will be a once in a lifetime purchase and well spending the over-budget money.

    The beatport edition has other colors, beside that same thing.

    I agree with Vintage. HD201s are awesome for 20 bucks then save up.

    The Urbanears are where beats was 5 years ago. All design, no sound.
    Beats has in the meantime corrected this and some beats have good sound (especially the Mixr).

    it’s surprising bcuz the zinken received positive review on other sites…….

    i currently own the HF125 by numark. they lasted a good 1.5 yrs…. (still work bit they hv now become quite flimsy after extended usage)

    Look around on equipboard for what djs you like use.
    Personally, I used to use Sol republic, which are bassy, but theyre cheap, very durable and pretty decent sounding.
    I currently have the Technics rpdh 1250s which I love.
    Ive heard good things of the HD25s though.

    consider that people make a huge deal about headphones, and its not really worth all the fuss. Especially with celeb endoresments and people getting paid to use them. Honestly if youre just cueing up a track, youd be fine with a pair of $10 earbuds, although they might not sound or look amazing
