    Try a different USB cable. If yours is damaged, maybe it’s not connecting right. Also when I bought my MC2000, I had to install my ASIO drivers for it. This is only if you are on a windows computer. The ASIO is on denon’s website here http://b06ba727c886717f9577-fff53f927840131da4fecbedd819996a.r74.cf2.rackcdn.com//1143/documents/DENON_DJ_ASIO_for_DJ_Controller.zip

    Or go to Denon DJ’s website>Controllers>MC6000Mk2 and you can find the ASIO on the right side.

    Hope this helps. Once you get it running, let me know how it is. I’m thinking about buying one later this year

    Also, your product key for serato DJ might not be working so it won’t interact with your controller. If that’s the case, then contact serato.

    Thanks, I went through the ASIO drivers part and think I did it properly:)

    cant remember having to put in a serato product key anywhere tho, Im sure I read somewhere that I shouldnt have to activate it as not upgrading from intro? Have just been lent a usb cable that we know works so will try that and let you know.

    anyone know if its normal for serato to mess with my internet connection? thats really annoying as most instructions are on line!

    I don’t think serato usually should have an internet connection. But since it was just downloaded it may be trying to connect to register it or something

    Last two things I would try would be uninstall and reinstall serato. And updating the firmware from denon’s website http://denondj.com/products/view/mc6000mk2#.VS0uhBvn9j8 under downloads.

    If none of those work, I would contact the seller you bought it from and tell them your problem and get them to send you a new one.

    Hi Glenn,

    A few things;

    Serato DJ Intro doesn’t require an internet connection. This software should work out of the box (pending correct set-up / driver installation) with your MC6000MK2.

    Serato DJ does require an internet connection (to activate it for the first time), and you may have received a Serato DJ Upgrade voucher with your MC6000MK2 to get access to the full software.

    The internet connection dropping when you launch the software is rather odd. If you are using Serato DJ Intro, does it make a difference if you remove the internet dongle before connecting the MC6000MK2 and launching Intro? There may be a strange USB conflict of sorts.

    Feel free to get in touch with Serato Support;

    After investigating a little bit I also have a suspicion of the PC you are using.
    Can you write us some details on that:
    PC Brand
    CPU
    Chipset of Mainboard
    Chipset of WiFi adapter
    RAM
    HDD
    Type of USB port (USB 2 or 3)

    I had the same type of problem recently with a student of mine (I tutor new DJs locally) with a Notebook, but he used a DDJ-SR and Serato DJ. We then found out it was actually the Notebook that had a problem with USB drivers from the manufacturer and not the controller or Serato.

    Also thanks Luke for chiming in 😉
