You need to set the correct soundcard settings in the DN-X600 I think. Don’t have the manual handy so can’t lead you through it.

Once that is set you can set the DVS settings in VDJ.

I loaded the sound card CD that came with the Denon mixer. I don’t think that is my problem.

Do you have it mapped? as in do the buttons control the actions in your software, if not try this for mapping.

You’ll have to use that mapping and work from there if you don’t have it mapped.

What was said about the product.

You may want to watch this video, it’s for Vdj7 but you should be able to apply the same settings to vdj8.

Yep, I didn’t mean the soundcard drivers (what’s on the CD) but the settings in the actual mixer as you can see in the video (well the picture I see of the video). There you can set what each channel should do, like DVS.

Dj Vintage and DJ Emazing…I appreciate your help… I am getting closer. I watched the video and it helped with setting the frequency in the Denon mixer and I was able to get sounds out of the laptop and the mixer using the “deck 1 and deck 2” in the virtual settings. My turntables still are not functioning correctly though.
I still can not get any time code control to the turntables with virtual. The Midi sections on the tables work and controls virtual but there is no control when I press the play button on the turntables and no sound. I actually do not have any time code signal looking at the virtual dj “timecode signal screen”

First, set VDJ to play correctly with regular MP3s that you load. This will confirm that your outgoing sound is going to the right channels in the right way.
Next, make sure you have your TTs hooked up to the right inputs (if you use the switch on the RP-8000 set to phone, then use the phono inputs, otherwise use the line inputs – just make sure you are using the same on either end)
Set the correct channel settings for your X600. Check page 15 of the (english) manual. You can find it here under the download header: http://denondj.com/products/view/dn-x600#.VQ2yp45faF5
Throw on a timecode vinyl and go into VDJ and follow the instructions for setting up DVS.

You should be good to go now.

Go to Config, click on audio, in the audio menu look to the right it will say timecode, click on timecode, you will get and extra option on your sound card options, set your timecode for the channels where your input is going to.

Next make sure you mixer’s sound card is input is set to give virtual dj a sound/signal, if you here loud sound like a 56K modem/high pitch sound means you’re very close.
