Have you tried increasing the latency to see if it goes away? We can’t tell what your exact problem is – just try it and see 🙂

With latency, the lower it is the greater the processing power it requires to keep up – so if you are doing lots of effects/different channels/loading decks all at the same time this will also put extra strain on your CPU. This can cause your CPU to max out, which then causes glitches in the audio. Most DJ software is good at prioritizing the audio engine to prevent this, but that may not be enough if the peaks are big.

Do the glitches happen when you do anything in particular??

Also, your CPU is relatively low powered in comparison to the i5’s used in most hmid-high end PCs at the minute – so try reducing your CPU load. if that fixes it, you have found the problem..

Also make sure that the drivers of the S1 and NV do not interact, that can sometimes be a problem and Windows 8.1 is not that easy on CPU either.
Possibly try to set the effects in Serato to “master out” and scan your files before a gig (do a library re-scan in Serato).
Do not use to many effects at the same time.

If possible get rid of all the usual Sony Vaio addon software that comes with those laptops as they usually protect the owner from the true speed of their laptop… Sony is really bad in that regard.

If you can find all the drivers necessary I would recommend to re-install a fresh Windows 7 and only install what you need to run the machine and the DJ software and drivers.

If what everyone else says doesn’t work there may be a chance you have a grounding problem. If this is true then there are simple fixes for it.
