The pioneer DDJ SR is a good controller. It may be within your budget.

I just switched from the Allen & Heath Zone:DX to the Numark NV and I think it was a great choice. It is just outside of your budget, but it may be worth it to save $$ a little longer and buy brand new. The NV came with Serato DJ and some other freebies, and I got mine bundled with a case that made it an even better deal. I’m pretty sure you can find the NV for $699 most places. I am leary of buying used controllers because you don’t know what kind of treatment they got, or how many hands were on them, who spilled what where, various abuse, etc….. Anyways, I looked and looked and read reviews and the NV seemed like a good choice for me. I can say personally that it feels very well built, despite being made mostly of hard plastic. Check it out. I hope this helps.

Reloop Terminal Mix 8? 120 euro cheaper than the NV and you have to wonder if you really want/need the displays. Very personal choice. If you have any questions about the TM8, look at the supersticky video answers to forum questions by Terry_42 to see one in action.
