    Yes they just sit in there, but since the cases are “top loading” gravity and weight secures them pretty good and when you close the case it is really pushed in by the foam.

    Yes you can do that with samples you just need to assign the effects to the master output.

    Thanks Terry, you’ve always got the answers. The foam makes sense for the regular cases, the ones with the sliding laptop stand must have a piece of foam to put between the sliding board and the controller during transportation?

    Sweet, I figured there was a way to do it, time to go play

    Actually the sliding thing (at least on the case I saw at Musikmesse) slides down a bit and had a foam on the underside that pushed the unit in place 🙂
    But that may be different for other products.
