    Yep, great recommendation: thanks Mat! I can attest to this. Made a 2nd library and am organising all my tracks in it to within an inch of their lives.

    Did you find out how to move songs from one library to the other without having to have duplicate copies? Thanks

    You can point both iTunes libraries at the same music location – go to “Edit” -> “Preferences” -> “Advanced” -> “Change”in one of the libraries

    Set this to the location of the music in the other library (On windows, My Music -> iTunes -> iTunes Media) and then the same music will be in both libraries.

    BUT if you add/delete tracks in one library you will then have to go to “Add File To Library” to add that song to the second library as it won’t be added automatically. And if you delete a track in one library you then have to delete it in the other as well.

    Yeah what I meant sorry was how to move a playlist from one library to the other without having to have duplicate the tracks.

    Aani stupidly made a playlist in the main library for djing tha. I want to add to the dj iTunes library.

    Select the playlist, go to File -> Library -> Export Playlist. Save it somewhere.

    On the other library, go File -> Library -> Import Playlist 🙂
