Out usual line-up for starter controllers is:
Numark MixTrack Pro 2
Pioneer DDJ-SB
Denon MC-2000
Reloop Beatmix 2
There are reviews on all of them over on the blog or in your 2014 DJ Controller Guide.
However, the NAMM show is on and the following is probably gonna be the new list:
Numark MixTrack Pro 3
Pioneer DDJ-SB
Denon MC2000
Reloop Beatmix 2
Denon MC4000 (this will be slightly more expensive, but already a little more advanced and definitely the best build quality)
Both new controllers are not out yet, so if you want them, you have to wait a while longer.
We present this list with the following advice: “Nobody can tell you what the best controller is”. The reason is that the choice for a controller is highly personal. It depends on what kind of DJ you are, what software you use (or plan on using) or what your worfklow is (if you have one already).
If there are very specific questions on part of a controller (like the jogwheels, buttons/pads), we may be able to offer some advice, again only when you tell us what you are trying to achieve and what your goal is.
