    You could always use headphones throughout the process. Just utilise the cue/master mix knob.

    Thanks for the tip, but thats not quite what I was looking for. I want to hear the mix through my speakers just a bit quieter, but than the record level is to low..

    I stopped using Traktor a few years ago, so can’t comment on the way the various volume levels interact (controller/record).

    If it can’t be solved otherwise, you should consider something like this:

    it hooks up between your master out (XLR to XLR or XLR to JACK) and KRKs (JACK to JACK or JACK to XLR) and you can keep your controller at 0dB, your KRKs at 0dB as well and attenuate the volume with one single big knob on your desktop.
