Hi, let’s see if we can help you on your way.
To start with the last thing, midi-mapping isn’t too hard, but you will have to put in the effort of learning about midi-commands and such (note G5, cc31 and such are midi commands) and how that ties in with modifying (or flat out making new) mid maps for your controller/software combination.
On to the specific things you want to control from your controller.
* Backspin – this is usually just doing exactly that, spinning the platter in the other direction and needs no setting. What I am thinking you mean is “reverse”, which is pressing a button and the tracks starts playing in the other direction (backwards).
* time elapsed/time to go. Personally I never use this, I set it to time to go (I really don’t care how long a track has played exactly, only in how much more time I have left. Besides, I try to know all my tracks and that means I will know approximately how long they are, so distracting the time to go gives me the time played)
* FX. The WeGo3 being made for use with mobile devices (iPad) with touchscreens, means you are supposed to use it’s features for things like FX. Often the software will offer these nice matrix/ x-y layouts to do that. In addition it has some (jogwheel) FX buttons on the outer ring. If those are not mapped correctly by your current software and you haven’t gotten to the level where you can remap that stuff yourself, I’d suggest the manufacturers forum. Usually you will find people with the same controller/software combination that have already mapped what you need and/or that are willing and able to help you make the correct mapping.
In all honesty, there just aren’t enough spare/remappable buttons on a WeGo to put all the stuff you want in place, I think.
There is plenty to learn and practice without worrying about these things yet and by the time you are so well-versed and find your WeGo has outlived it’s practicality, it’s time to upgrade and get a controller with all the necessarry buttons already in place, imho.
