A&H Xone 4D not initially detected in windows 8.1 each session.

same problems with my tower (amd 64 3500) as well as my laptop. (intel core i7)

once I do get the mixer recognised, I can hot swap my mixer between both no problems.

ok… so the case can be cool, but it remains undetected till the electronics probably warm up (about 10 mins roughly) and the case is still cool.

I have just put it on and had analogue audio from my tower (when listening to others sets) and about 10 mins later I put the laptop on and it was detected…

so it’s a hardware issue.

In the ticket I’ve had with Allen&Heath, they concluded to put it in for service.

I will be taking it on Monday for service.

I played a set Sunday evening (broadcasting on mixify as usual) and the digital side of it gave up on me. I then had to go fully analogue only (turning the soundcard off for all channels)

as I use a NI Audio 10 with traktor, I just played on 4D only analogue mixing. (audio 10 into the 4D)

I have taken the 4D to the service guy on Monday afternoon, phoned up yesterday afternoon (thursday), and he’d just got to opening it when I phoned.
so I am waiting an outcome, if it can be fixed and how much it’s gonna cost.

I played a set on Wednesday evening, where I switched the audio 10 (with my technics 1200mk2 decks still connected) to internal mixing in traktor.
I used my iPad 2 with TouchOSC to control the mixer functions in traktor. (worked great)

I did a fully (apart from 2 or 3 digital tracks to get started) vinyl trance classics set.

2 Technics 1200mk2 decks, and an iPad controlling traktor for the mixer
