    I put my master at 0dB. Then keep the meters out of the red by using gains on individual channels.

    The master level on the s4 has bearing only on the speaker volume and is totally isolated by itself.

    Hello
    can you give me the values for all the parameters.
    ie your values for the following:

    1. Auto gain (on/off)
    2. limiter (on/off)
    3. headroom (for 2decks + 2 remix decks)
    4. main level in software
    5. main level position on the s4 (yes and I am aware that this is analog and independent of the software)

    Auto gain= on
    limiter=off
    headroom= 6db
    main level in software=0db
    s4= varies throughout the gig.
