Those you named I would recommend either the Mixtrack pro (or Pro II) or the Pioneer DDJ-SB.
Both actually do almost the same and are good quality controllers.

I would vote against the Hercules and Behringer, both have some awkward things that really turned me off trying them and build quality is less than the other controllers you mentioned.

As for Reloop, if you go reloop I would look at the new Beatmix 2 or 4, they are a far superior choice to the aged Mixage models.

Well the Pro II and the SB can do almost the same. The Pro II has one more pad thing (which is not really that important as I forgot which it was) and the SB has the crossfader which has assignable filters. Both things I never use, so basically they are the same. Both lack a gain control which I do not like as I do not trust the auto gain of any DJ software.

The Beatmix actually has one row of pads more, has a fader for sample volume and a separate transport section. It has a gain control on each channel but does not have a channel filter knob. Which can easily be circumvented if you assign one of the effects unit a filter and use that one…

Theoretically, if you turn on the filter fader on the SB when you want that type of transition, you can remap the gain to the filter knobs and you have yourself gain control. If you want the filter fader on a more permanent basis, you can map it to one of the fx selector keys and select it with the button and use the fx knob for the value change from hi/lo pass.
I just bought the SB and it was so worth the money. One negative is no XLR output, just RCA.

I have a Numark MTP2 and although it’s been a great learning tool, I would not really recommend it. My main gripe is the very low cue output volume, but I think it would be worth it to look into the DDJ-SB, as well as the Denon MC2000, and a couple others. Given your budget, I would suggest saving for a while and researching these all some more in the meantime. The Reloop Beatmix 4 is a decent deal, looks to be a decent entry level controller, and comes with the full Serato DJ at least for now. (remember that upgrading to Serato DJ isn’t free, so figure that into your considerations) just my .02
