    Let me start the review with:
    Finally someone who starts a mix with an intro/name drop that sounds professional, most mixes I hear sound like the girl friend of the DJ shouting something into a 10 dollar microphone…

    The mix I would call absolutely flawless. Very good song selection, nice mixing, excellent key matching, good energy flow towards the end and general good transitions.

    Now speaking on a very high level: I think also the mix shows really good your comfort zone. You had fun doing it prolly and you showed really good that you can do a flawless mix. I would be very interested in a mix where you drive yourself a bit more to the edge, mixing more genres together with different beats that cannot simply be matched etc.
    Because I think this mix was flawless and really good (hell I would hire you), but I also think you can do a mix that would blow my socks off as I hear the potential to do so…

    you are correct, that beatmatching is where I excel, mainly because straight drops often suffer from radical energy and sound variations. I however have done other kind of music as well. This was my first trance mix. I do scrathing too, but didin’t feel it was necessary here. Next month’s mix will be moombahton, whitch I’ve never done before, so I guess thats exactly what you said about the comfort zone.

    The month has turned, and therefore its tome for yet another DJ Tuomari podcast! This month I decided to work on something new and put together this moombahton mix. While this is nowhere as flawless as the previous trance mix, I’m still very happy how it all came together. The biggest issue when doing this was that the genre is not very abundant or mainstream, and so most of the stuff here is found from soundcloud and such services, stuff you won’t find on iTunes or Beatport!

    Forget about being perfect, that mix was total fun to listen it made my sunday morning brunch mix (this is when I sit in my garden lounge with some neighbours listening to a good mix and having a brunch from 10 in the morning to … well open end). You are one of only 5 forum users to have made that spot yet in the past 3 years 😉
