I give you my spin:
I use the Terminal Mix 4 and now 8 since it came out. Simply because of one thing:
THE BEST JOGs ON THE PLANET.
Now the 8 has pads and some cool twists… I love it.
The Vestax series is extremely well made and their customer service is second to none.
The VCI 380 does cater towards simplicity and 2 decks only. If you are longing for a simple live but can go slightly crazy with the pads… then so be it.
The VCI 400 is the opposite. It is as much buttons as you can get in there with dials to setup etc. It is pretty awesome but overwhelming for some. Also: Second best jogwheels.
Pioneer DDJ-SX/SR surely great, love the mixer section, hands down best mixer section of any controller. Decent jogs (but no spinback…) very well made and goes nicely with Serato. Also it is Pioneer and they pack some really pro things in there. Only thing I do not like that much is the non-mirrored layout. Of course this way it is more like having 2 CDJs and a mixer, but I sometimes get caught on that pitch fader…
