    I think you are looking at it wrong… production starts with the sounds you want to make and for example you can possibly make any sound in most software, whether it be Maschine, Ableton or FL or Logic.
    You cannot just buy one piece of gear and then produce a psy track.

    If you got the money Ableton Live Suite, if not then Logic Pro X. Then get a midi keyboard. If you get Ableton then check out:

    Aira is pretty cool, if you want to record all that into a song though you still need a DAW.
