    Is there something physically stopping the cap from going all the way on? Usually the fit is pretty tight, but it’s weird to see it just not go all the way down.

    My guess here is that they used another (brand) crossfader, since you had problems with the other one twice, but never bothered to check if the knob would fit?

    This is maybe a bit ghetto, but do you think if you got a metal file you could very slightly file the cap hole wide enough to fit the metal post? Note I take no responsibility for any damage done to the cap. Also have you tried just.. well, pressing on it hard? Don’t like hammer it in.

    I think he’d rather not be taking any chances with the crossfader breaking (again).

    And the filing thing is really tricky. A fraction too much off and the cap will never stick but fall off everytime (potentially in the middle of a heavy scratching session, as Murphy dictates).

    How do i check if the cap is broken and if so where do i find a new one?
