Obviously the main question is what you can bring for them and vice versa.

Getting a label going these days shouldn’t be too hard, especially if you don’t plan on going mass-production CDs and the accompanying distribution.

Building an effective label that actually gets the work of producers heard, noticed and promoted, that’s a different ball of wax.

And in order for these producers to succeed, I think they need to build a certain following as well. So parallel to being with a label, they would have to be with a good promoter/booking agency to get out and into the right places.

    Hey Detrakt,

We should talk more. I’m just launched a new label but still have a lot to set up. I have some experience from working with another label but always have more to learn.

    So far I’ve got

    my website up http://defaultrejects.com/
sent contracts out to two artists
    set up my LLC
    chose a digital distributor
