Yeah, there is always the HD25-II and new HD6’s from Sennheiser, KRK have a nice set of cans (more for producing than DJ-ing though).
However, as a sound/studio engineer, I have to say that producing/mixing in headphones is sub-optimal at best.
I know many engineers/producers that will mix at about speech level (volume), so getting good speakers without turning them up too loud can work. You’ll have the occassional bit where you want to turn it up to check if you are on the right way.
Mixing loud for prolonged periods of time is bad on many levels, not in the least because of the potential for ear damage.
As far as speakers go. KRK (5s/6s) are generally the obvious choice when you want a very good quality/price ratio. And the general idea with studio speakers is “you get what you pay for”.
