The following link will have a list to all controllers that support Serato ITCH right out the box.

Run your eyes over to the sidebar on the right of the page for the controller listings.

Sorry, it looks like most of the ITCH stuff is outside of your budget.

I’d take a look at all the Intro controllers.

Ye I had a look at those but like u said, well over my bugdet, im waiting for the Reloop Terminal Mix 2 to be released, if it gets good reviews and its within my bugdet then thats the one. Ive been using VDJ which is fine for me but i liked the simplicity of serato, i may end up just sticking with VDJ if I can find what im looking for, i know i can probably get into mapping but i dont want to get to involved in all of the mappping due to my really heacy workload, i just wanna plug and play.

out of all of the dj programs I have used VDJ has a very simple mapping system to use, also before you buy a controller mapped for serato I might consider waiting for VDJ8 to drop on the market.

I think your right about waiting, i used to have a numark mixtrack pro but outgrew it very quickly, i even djed out with it a few times which was fun using VDJ as well, however, im always open to new software providing the controller is tightly integrated with the software. Patience is the key at the moment….thanks for your prompt advice….

Admittedly, I know very little about VDJ, but try to find a controller that supports or comes with VDJ LE out the box. That way, you won’t need worry about mapping so much.

Also, see if you can rent a controller for a week or two before you buy it. If you already have VDJ and rent a Serato Intro native controller, you’ll be able to make a more informed decision.

the mixtrack is plug and play with both serato intro and vdj pro… VDJ has had native support for over a year, but I don’t know why everyone says they outgrow controllers, all you will be doing is replacing the mixtrack with a controller that can do exacty the same thing, granted the reloop has 4 extra buttons but essentially it’s the same thing “just another controller”. were no longer in the days when all functions had to be in the hardware and one manufacturer can have an advantage over another, It’s a level playing field now in terms of function and all in the mapping.

If you want to go the serato route I would try to avoid getting a Serato DJ Intro compatible controller and save up a little bit more to get an Itch controller. The reason for the escalated price is because you are paying for the software too. Keep in mind, unlike Traktor where you have to pay for each upgrade, all Itch updates will be free.

You can get a Vestax VCI-300 MkII (they are giving away the free FX unit with it now) for about $500 US which should fall in your budget.

Thanks for the advice, really useful and makes a lot of sense, i never thought about the VCI-300 because of the age of the controller and the lack of effects, but like you said if there is an available effects unit. Has the VCI 300 not been dis-continued?

Novation Twitch has a great mapping for ITCH & Serato Video, and is close to your budget.
