Do know know anyone who has turntables, mixer, and a computer? So you can record it through them?

@D-Jam: Thanks for the reply. I have all 3, but I have a 3 yr old windows based laptop that doesn’t have a built-in soundcard. I do have a Numark iDJ3 but it doesn’t have RCA line-ins. Hey, it does have a phono plug mic input though….wonder if there’s a way to use that?

    Anyone know?

You could try this $1 solution. Not top of the line, but you’ll be able to get the audio into your computer with this, a DJ mixer, and the turntable.

Also look in your town or elsewhere if there are any services that would do it for you. Vinyl to CD or anything. You can then rip the CD.

you could just get a 2 rca to 1/8 inch stereo adapter, then plug the line out from your analog mixer into the computer, through a recording program like “audacity” it’s free and not very resource hungry an will run on a windows xp operating system with no problems.

also you mentioned the mic input, im not 100% but i think i have read that it doesnt route to the software and just plays out the master…
