I am glad you are learning without Sync but my advise is to learn to use the channel faders instead of the crossfader. It gives you more control of the incoming sound and the overall transition. Cheers!

Great advice and thanks a lot for giving it.. 😀 I will surely practice that from now on. Any tips on adjusting the overall volume level while recording, or did it sound fine to you?

You should monitor the incoming sound via the LEDs while cueing up. And then through you what you hear through the transition.

I also use the period during beat matching to identify the drops and other subtle nuances… How I will then do the transition may evolve depending on the mood..

I also use the period during beat matching to trigger some 1 to 2 beat cuts on the fly as a teaser…

    I hope this helps..

Caveat – I have not spun live in 7 years so what I am saying may not apply in the digital age 🙂

Thanks Prototype for the advice. I’ll bare that in mind and practice more once I get my Level Meter LED’s to work again.

This is what I thought at first. Any idea or advice on how to fix this problem in the future?
