    IMO you will need to carefully read the user manual of the MC3000 and the software you are going to use with it.
    Then there is a lot of tips on this site too look at.

    I am both a fan of studying along with the courses offered here as well as trial and error. Nothing teaches you better then personal experience. I do suggest reading your manual and if need be research.
