    you need too works on your low/mid/high and sort out your master volume.your mix is too bassey.you are lacking mid range and treble.

    first off don’t try to imitate other peoples mixes, it can only lead to frustration and believe the people you try to imitate may not be worth imitating in the first place. you don’t need to try an squash the mixes so close. its best to give yourself plenty of time when learning to mix (less pressure on you). Let the main bit of the track finish then start to bring the other in track when its all died down.

    its no sprint , take it easy.

    @vineoak, thanks

    @longmover, hmm I had read that imitating mixes is a good way to learn, I generally prefer to do as you said, just slowly mix in the intro during the previous songs outro because it’s much simpler. Thanks though I think in the future i’ll just mix songs i feel go to together and go from there.

    sorry im gonna be very critical,but these words are not intended to offend but make you a better dj,the first point is this.if i said to you make me a smoothie for you to drink,and i said put in these ingredients-onion,orange,soy sauce,green chillies,strawberry and finally mustard.now blend it and drink it.would you?

    probably not you would say.now my point is your track selection is a pot pourri of styles.it has no structure,it goes vocal then a melodic then vocal the a bit prog etc.you have to build a mix.maybe a 3-4 min intro.i prefer a bassey track.then slowly build your mix up to say 17 mins.add some vocals but not too early.if you doing trance i generally start my mix at about 128-130 bpms and build to about 138-140 bpms at the end.you can mix,but i suggest work on maybe longer outro/intros between tracks.i suggest you try and use mixcrate for starting as it is more friendly to use.also i suggest you provide a track list of artist/title with track length.hope that helps and keep it up.

    if you want to check my mix as a guide 49 mins the link is.

    thanks vineoak, after listening to it multiple times myself I definitely agree with you it needs more semblance of structure and my mixes are also definitely rough at best probably because the transitions happen too fast. I really appreciate the feedback though!

    I will definitely check out that mix too.
