No this brand is not a good brand of headphones
but compared to others in the pricerange I do not think they are worse than others.

Senhiser, Shure, Denon and Koss are a few that is good but the price is of cause in an other legue as well…

Jep, It’s just a fashion brand, but the specs aren’t any good compared to the real (more expensive) deal like Senheiser.

atom with headphones especially, there’s no substitute for trying them on , not only to hear how they sound but also from a comfort point of view. Is there a DJ store you can go to to demo a few pairs and see which ones you like ? Also what is your budget ?

Headphones are very personal in how you feel and hear.
So you really have to try them on for yourself.

There is also an aspect of buildquality!

That is why some HP is very expensive to buy but they are cheep in the long term!
(That does not go for all HPs but most)

Senhiser HD25 and Denon HP1000/HP700 is some of the HP that I know for sure is build to last because I have
A pair of HP1000 that now has last for 4years and they still is as when I bought them.
I also has two friends that has HP700 that they have had for 3years and they are as new still.
And 3 other DJ friends with HD25 that has last for 5+years and still are as new!

Other DJs I know has had Sony 6month, Technics 12month, Pioneer 1000 2-3 month Pioneer HP2000 4-5 month Then they all broke!

It will be tough to find something decent in that price bracket atom. I did a little looking around and the cheapest decent ones that I know still came in at $89 the XD-40

    http://www.djdeals.com/allenheathXONEXD40.htm

maybe try eBay / Amazon etc to see if you can find these for a cheaper price, is the only other thing I can suggest

Atom I found those Allen & Heath XONE:XD-40 for $59 on an eBay Auction.

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/Allen-and-Heath-XONE-XD-40-xd-40-DJ-Headphones-XD40-PROAUDIOSTAR-/300659146744?pt=DJ_Gear_Lighting&hash=item4600ae7ff8#ht_4942wt_1348

They have 9 new pairs available, the shop selling them is Pro Audio Star, they are based in NYC. There is 3 days left on the auction. $59 is the “buy now” price but they also accept offers. I would make an offer of $40 to start to see how you go (don’t forget you may have to pay for shipping) Good luck !!
