    Let’s start with this and we will get you an answer. What controller or equipment are you using?

    I have a Mixtrack Pro, and a Behringer BCD3000. My brother has a Traktor Kontrol S4 which I don’t use very often. The Behringer was my brother’s old controller and now I use it as a backup controller just for fun sometimes. So mainly the Mixtrack Pro, i’ve been with these for no more than 2 months. Although I’ve fooled around over a year with the S4. Practically I know NOTHING of DJs or mixing.

    Mixtrack Pro has a built in soundcard (plus your laptop’s soundcard gives you two)

    Connect the output (RCAs) on the back of the mixtrack to the source you want to play the music out loud on.
    Connect your headphones to the headphone jack on the front of the mixtrack pro to do headphone cueing on.

    No, you can not connect headphones to the speakers directly for headphone cueing.
