Don’t think of what they lool like, feel them truly. Here is my opinion. Vestax has amazing jogwheels, ALL of their controllers do, but its controls are a little different. The Numark has great jogwheels believe it or not, one of the best in my opinion, but the only bad thing about it it is a plastic construction. the Hercules rule it out. Here is your pros and cons.
Controls: Vestax has a little weird sliders instead of knobs but generally a good feel. Numark is great laid out, amazing response and good controls. Here wins the Numark I think.
Price: Numark 240 against 260 to 280. Numark again
Build Quality: Numark plastic, Vestax is a hard polymer/plastic. So tie here lol. Although Vestax is harder.
Jogwheels: I love the Numarks Jogwheels, great response. Vestax has great jogwheels also. But I’m a Mixtrack Pro fan so you know what I’ll say about it. But don’t mind me here, Vestax’s jogwheels are VERY high-quality, they are among the best when it comes to controller jogwheels.
They both have soundcards, im done here, i leave it to you, hope I was helpful.

Do you need a pair of jogwheels? or would 1work? you may be able to get more for your money with a single deck controller.

Thank you. That was amazingly helpful! I was really lost but I have a much better idea now. Might just be mixtrack.

If you don’t mind, why is the hercules 4set a bad option?

danny.slag, look at the thread “best controller for scratching” by DR PANCAKES. Phil Morse recommends the Vestax vci-300 but you could probably step up your game with that new Numark MPC DJ, check it out on the DDJT blog page.
