    I was wondering what is the best DJ Controller that is good for a DJ who would like to learn how to cut and scratch? I want to become a better Hip-Hop DJ. A guy at my job suggested the Pioneer DDJ-S1 as a good starter package. Also he said that may be it also may be a good idea to get some turn tables with Serato. I want to be able to scratch like DJ Premier. Let me know if you have any suggestion.

    For serious scratching the Serato route is good, or look at the Numark NS7 (because it has motorised turntables).

    Do you know if they will be updating this device anytime soon? I see that it has been out since 2009.
