VinnyBlanc
ParticipantFound this on another site let me know if it works. It seems to be a common problem.
————————————————————————————–
you need to make sure you select ‘numark mixtrack’ as the ‘device’ located:
file/control manager…top area in ‘device setup’
then scroll to ‘play/pause’ in assignment table
select ‘play pause’ for deck B (single click turns line yellow)
then choices will appear at bottom
make sure ‘invert’ box is uncheckedObvious really
the problem is ‘numark mixtrack’ isnt selected by default in the ‘control manager -device’ even though that map is active and working it defaults to ‘pro 2 default mapping’ which doesnt show you the relevant choices/settings.

MemberHi VinnyBlanc, in my version of traktor the only change i can make in the tab “control manager” is the “device”. “Numark mixtrack” is already selected and that’s all. Maybe that’s for the PRO 2 version?

MemberWhen you ran the setup wizard did you select “Mixtrack Pro” or “Mixtrack Pro LE”?

MemberI tried both. Right now i’m using “mixtrack pro” (no LE)

KeymasterYou should definitely be using LE, although I’m not sure if that’ll solve your problem.

I’m using that now (for the records: what’s the difference?) and the problem is just the same.

KeymasterHave you set the Traktor Audio Out setting as instructed in the guide that came with your controller?
January 14, 2012 at 11:03 am #12807lepre
MemberYes i followed the instructions
Mixing mode: internal
Output master: channel 1 & 2
Output monitor: channel 3 & 4
Also i’m using ASIO4ALL as audio device, as instructed.January 14, 2012 at 2:02 pm #12810Pat_07_10
ParticipantIf you have not done so already i would delete and reinstall all the software again. Will save alot of time later if it was just something so simple.
I was looking at factory settings of mine Traktor pro 2 but should still be same for same controller.
this is how mine looked under controller management.
Type of controller – Button
Interaction mode – Toggle
Button option – Deck A uncheck invert. Deck B check invertJanuary 16, 2012 at 1:19 pm #12881lepre

MemberHi..i tried to install traktor PRO to see the options you were talking about. I confirm that checking invert i get the play button on deck B to function the same as deck A. Wonder why it’s not possible with LE version…Anyway i was getting used to it 🙂
Now..i have been searching this for a while on google but didn’t find a real solution:
My itunes library is on a separate server shared in a samba share. I managed to get traktor to find my library correctly and it’s displaying the playlists but when loading any track on any deck i get an error (missing or corrupt file etc). Obviously the file it’s there and correctly playing in itunes.
If i “right click>edit” on any track imported from itunes i see that the path/file is correct, but if i “right click>show in explorer” (i’m using windows 7 btw) nothing happens at all. I messed around with music folder settings but i can’t get it working properly. Meanwhile i’m using a folder on my local drive with few songs just to start out and learn something but it’s frustrating to duplicate them. Any pointer in the right direction would be really appreciated! Thanks in advance.ps: I wish to use this setup because i plan on using an external drive to bring my music around given that i don’t own a laptop at the moment (strange for an IT engineer eheh).

MemberApparently traktor can’t handle files directly from shared server so i solved with an alternative way. I had to map my network drive to a letter drive in windows (eg M:). Then i added that drive to music directories in traktor and i got it to load from there and all went fine. This way is indipendent from the itunes library, which is unfortunate, but anyway it works..

ParticipantHad nothing but problems with traktor le set up. Downloaded Serato intro and it works first time every time. With Traktor pro it seems to be trouble free for some reason.

MemberWell..my setup is a bit odd, and guess what? serato intro can only show the playlists name but not even load them 🙂
I’m generally sticking to traktor. I’m using serato intro to practice manual beat matching since in it i find it harder to cheat 😛
On that matter i have two question:
– Is it me or the pitch fader on this controller is a bit too short? to change just 0.1% i have to be REALLY careful and most of the time i bump in 0.2% steps 🙁 (And yes…i already got it in the 6% range!)
– Any pointer for understanding if i’m recognizing the first beat of the bars correctly? because i have varying results with the Phase Meter in traktor. Probably it’s me cueing on the wrong beat on some tracks or missing the real first beat of the bar when playing to sync. -
