    I’d go traktor
    Easier to config the midi the way you want
    Better jog performance
    More fx

    If I recall correctly there’s a demo version of traktor that gives you everything pro has except recording and it only lasts for 30 mins at a time. Look into that and see how you like it.

    But I want to record, so that’s sounding a lot like Traktor LE, which I have at the moment.

    Alright, well thanks for your advice. Imma go with FileSpnr on this one because I really want the effects.

    I have about 90 effects installed using vdj pro & they can be chained just like traktor…

    Just DL and use it otherwise you need to upgrade your traktor LE to Traktor 2 Duo or Traktor 2 Pro
    It is reduced price on pro (not Duo) when you upgrade from LE.

    Really? :S Well I got Traktor Pro last night anyway, I guess I just really wanted that professional feel. Traktor Pro definitely does have more features though, and the recording is a big one for me.

    @DJ Hessler – I wasn’t talking about VDJ Home, I know that’s free. With VDJ Home you can’t use a controller, like I said in my first post… so to use it with that I’d need to upgrade to VDJ Pro, which does cost money.

    ah nope, traktor doesn’t have more features, only more popularity & better marketing. If I were you I would have waited a few more days to preview vdj8 before making a decision… Traktor is definately a faster out of box solution than vdj, but vdj has many more possibilities.
