Potential Options – Works Best w/ (which software)(LE/Full version, etc.)
MixTrack PRO – The best low budget alternative (Traktor Duo/Pro)
    Vestax Typhoon –
    Hercules RMX –
    Hercules Steel –
    TRAKTOR KONTROL S2 – Traktor Pro 2
(New but curious) DDJ-ERGO-V – (Pio Traktor version LE+)

First off I would drop All of the above except Mixtrak Pro and S2 especialy Ergo as it does not match the pricetag IMO
Pio does make good quality CDJ and DJM but not controllers IMO they does not have the same quality.
I would also like to add one. Denon MC3000 – (Traktor LE in EU VDJ LE in US) I would recommend to upgrade to Traktor Pro on that unit. Denon MC3000 has IMO a higher quality than the rest in build and Buttons/knobs.
You can also run it on any software that can be bought The S2 is more locked to Traktor.

So my recommendations for you to take a closer look at is:

    Numark Mixtrak Pro
    Native Instrument S2
    Denon MC3000

    Mixtrack/Mixtrack pro – Traktor 2 duo/pro
    Traktor S2- Traktor pro 2

For me I would go Mixtrack…. if you are really on a budget take a look at the mixtrack (no sound card version) is a good option. Mixtrack pro if you can spend 200+$.. In my opinion, mixtrack + a sound card like NI audio 2 or numark DJIO came out cheaper for me (or its just me)… but hey if you could afford the S2 go get that instead…

Software wise… I would go straight up Traktor… Traktor is such an amazing program to use… The flexibility and customizability is awesome. But if you do get the mixtrack pro Serato intro runs with it so, you could take a look at that software as well… On a side note, depending on where you are, Mixtrack will either come with VDJ or Traktor LE..

I’m not sure if its the same for the Mixtrack Pro (probably is), but my Mixtrack came with Virtual DJ LE (region specific I think)

I am using a Zalaman external 5.1 soundcard (got off ebay for 10$) So I was up and running with soundcard and Mixtrack for $120.

Ok, thanks for your help guys. I must admit the Mixtrack Pro and S2 are the two I am leaning towards right now. I wasn’t aware of Traktor Duo. Thanks for giving me lots to look into.
